I got a zoids kit recently and made the mistake of looking up beautiful painted ones on Instagram so I've decided to plunge headfirst into figure painting. I went out and bought paints and another robot to practice on first, and this random Mewtwo have lying around.
I've passed up this kit so many times... I'm excited to finally have an excuse to get it! I'm not a big fan of the McDonald's color scheme so the painting is gonna be really dramatic.
But really this box illustration is so charming I might even frame it LOOK AT IT

Nnnnot the cleanest coat of paint but i like how this bit of detailing looks. I also kinda like the patina on such a utilitarian robot

I don't feel amazing about this but i want to document it anyway. This is before assembling and detailing!
Wow I'm actually really surprised about how cool this looks painted.
I'm hoping to do some screentone/comic effects on it, kinda greyscale manga mewtwo fig

I'm gonna call this done and move on to the next learning experience. It'll always be the first robo
Also officially love enamel paints even though I'm terrified of them.

Realized i never posted the shoot of it built. I haven't had a chance to paint for a whole month because I'm scared to prime in high humidity and it's rainy season
