Why the patriarchy doesn't exist anymore (Thread)

1. Patriarchy is a hypothesis formed to make a model of a possible reality. The value of patriarchy as a concept is dependent on how well it describes reality that allow for us to make assumptions based on that reality
2. A hypothesis regarding patriarchy was that behavior was based on survival. To survive, a division of labor was devised between genders. Women raised children and risked their lives in childbirth while men hunted and risked their lives at war to protect women and children
3. Neither gender had "rights". They had obligations and responsibilities. Both genders risked their lives for future generations. This is still with us in the modern age with traditional families where the mothers raise children and the fathers raise money.
4. So based on this, women and men had shared responsibilities to survive. While women rowed the boat on one side by raising kids and caring for the home, men rowed in the other side by providing and protecting. Of course now women and men row both sides
5. Now let's appease the feminists and say patriarchy which took its route in the olden ancient days still exists...
Men, for the most part, are the designers of the world (think kingdoms, industrial and technological revolutions and wars). Men could not have done any of those without help from women. However, women didn't do anything that they normally wouldn't do...
Men, on the other hand, did exceptional stuff. They designed a highly sophisticated world from which everyone benefits. Because of this, men have inherited power. And that's what it is: "inherited power".
6. Now if this "patriarchy" still exists till this day then:

Men would live longer than women.

Men would not be most likely to commit suicide.

Women would pay for men on dates.

Men would work in safer jobs and not be the ones that are 90% of all job related deaths...
More women would join the army and fight wars than men.

Men wouldn't get longer jail sentences than women for the same crimes.

Men would have more say in abortion and reproductive health choices.

Courts would favour men in custody and divorce matters
Conclusion: the patriarchy no longer exists. Its just a loosely thrown around term by 4th wave feminists to create a tangible enemy, and to tar men as a group with a single brush. It makes for good headlines, and easy baiting.
