Today is the worst. fucking. day!

All of the server data for Speekin’...and I mean ALL of it: the programming code, the users’ accounts & their content, EVERYTHING...has been deleted by my server provider, and they can’t retrieve it!

3 years of content, GONE! I’m BEYOND pissed!

I wish I could host my own server farm, but it’s too damn expensive, so I have to now search for a new server provider b/c I can’t stay with this current one!

The programming code I can reupload, that’s fine; it losing the USERS’ data that sets everything back the most!

So, I ask everyone who’s been with me on this journey to please bear with me as I start the transition process to another server provider (and even entertain the idea of hosting my own shit at this stage in development, though highly unlikely.)

Back to square fucking one.

UPDATE: Three things:

1) I’ve been with them for 3 years; not ONCE have there been any mentions or documentations on Acronis Backup solution (in other words: news to me)

2) This person quickly ended the chat after their 3 rapid responses, meaning they don’t wanna deal w/ my ass

3) And the real fucked up part...

Late last year, I had to temporarily suspend my servers for 3 months for budgetary reasons

Yet 3 months later when I restarted them, ALL of my data was still there, whether they were the original content or came from a backup

This is bullshit!

UPDATE #2:

A HUGE sigh of relief! I just went through all of my files and found my database dump files and THANKFULLY, at the VERY least, the users’ account data are preserved!

So I don’t have to start from scratch with trying to rebuild Speekin’s current members & content!
