This is to my international colleagues that know some of the authors of the terrible observational studies of "drugs to treat COVID-19".
Where you are you probably have no idea of the harm they are causing.
To many people this is only a "scientific" debate.

If you (and everyone) can find a list of issues and biases with your paper on day 1, this is not the case.

You are adding noise and disinformation.
Some may think science and truth will eventually prevail (and they will), but these are not usual times.

Your crappy preprint with useless garbage data gets to lay media and is used by politicians and by doctors who lack skills to understand the issues with your data.
In normal times the pick up of therapies is longer and the discussion leading to the truth is tortuous by can only hurt a few.

At the current pace your paper can hurt millions in days.
PLEASE, hold your need for another paper, attention and need for citations for the next round
If you think I am exaggerating let me share the "outpatient COVID19 protocol" in many cities in Brazil:
1. HCQ + azithromycin
2. Ivermectin (or nitazoxanide)
3. Zinc + Vit. C + Vit D.
4. Enoxaparin (or ASA when enoxa is not available)
5. Prednisone 40mg +
6. Painkillers
Some pictures of the preset " COVID kits".
This is a consequence, though collateral, of your work.

They base the argument on the names of your institutions and your trusted research careers.
Counterarguing consumes local efforts and some damage cannot be undone.
If you think that is bad enough, it isn´t.

The real issue is that since "there are effective treatments", "distancing measures" are not needed (despite peak transmissions).

The real collateral is your paper is the basis to dismantle the few effective interventions is place.
This is a country with 62 fatalities, 1.5 million cases and 220 million people and I am sure we are not the only dealing with the collateral damage of your need to publish anything.

Please, hold the need to publish "just another paper" at least this time.
I do not usually ask for shares, but if any friend or colleague knows any of the authors, please help share this.

Thanks!
