Let's see what the Vedas has to say-
Different religions have different creation myths
Abrahamic religions say God created Universe in 6 days, which fall under the Steady State Theory
But we know the Universe is expanding,
So this theory must be wrong!
And hence the most acceptable theory, is the Big Big Theory

Turns out the Vedas has a 'genesis' very similar to the Big Bang theory
In this thread, we'll examine the famous Nāsadīya Sūkta of Rig Veda and see where it fits in the modern day Big Bang Theory

Rig Veda X-129-1 :
नासदासीन्नो सदासीत्तदानीं नासीद्रजो नो व्योमा परो यत् I
किमावरीवः कुह कस्य शर्मन्नम्भः किमासीद्गहनं गभीरम् ॥१॥
There was then neither existence nor non-existence -
There was no air then, nor the space beyond it.
What covered it? Where? In whose keeping?...

Thereafter rose Desire in the beginning; Desire - the primal seed and the germ of Spirit
The wise who searched know that which is kin to that which is not
कामस्तदग्रे समवर्तताधि मनसो रेतः प्रथमं यदासीत् Ι
सतो बन्धुमसति निरविन्दन्हृदि प्रतीष्या कवयो मनीषा ॥४॥
Thereafter rose Desire in the beginning; Desire - the primal seed and the germ of Spirit
The wise who searched know that which is kin to that which is not
This hymn has attracted large body of astronomers and cosmologists including the likes of Carl Sagan
The काम or 'desire' of the singularity to expand is said to be the source of creation of the Universe
As the big bang theory says - 'suddenly, the singularity began expanding'

The last line 'The wise who searched know that which is kin to that which is not' could actually refer to ancient cosmologists who found out the relation between the existent with the non-existent i.e. the relation between matter and energy.
But that again is my interpretation!
