Why city were lucky to have Leroy Sane, and our fans should not be angry at him for leaving

[A thread]
1st of all, we shall start with how good Sane was in the 2017/18 season. He won the PFA Young Player Of The Year.

And it is no surprise why.
Sane in 17/18 stats all competitions:

PL: 10 Goals 15 Assists
CL: 0 Goals 2 Assists
CC: 3 Goals 1 Assist
FA Cup: 1 Goal 1 Assist

All stats are from http://Transfermarkt.com
His performances against Stoke and Liverpool spring to mind.

He came off the bench, to score 2 goals against the Liverpool team that eventually went on to the CL final.

Him and KDB was a joy to watch. Both linked up extremely well. The pass from KDB was absolutely incredible
Coincidentally he was vital to our centurions season.

Without him, a lot of this wouldn't have happened.

We were very lucky to have a player like Sane.
Without Sane in the 18/19 season, we wouldn't have won the league.

His goal against Liverpool was vital. Had we not won that game, it was bye bye to the possibility of winning back-to-back PL titles. https://twitter.com/RiydMhrz/status/1212725810509107202?s=19
Dare I say it, without that goal, it would have been Liverpool winning back-to-back PL titles.

Now we wouldn't want that would we?

His goal against Utd was also vital, it sealed the game for us and gave us the security we needed in that game.
Let's also note, that Sane was vital to our success.

Without him, we wouldn't have done half as good, or half as much.

Now part of our fanbase are being ridiculous. And part of our fanbase, is slowly becoming everything we despise.
Let's now note Sane's honours whilst playing for us.

2x PL (back-to-back PL and also centurions)
1x FA Cup
2x CC Cup
2x Community Shield

Again, without him, a lot of this wouldn't have happened.
Let's now move on to why he moved.

It's most likely down to the fact that he wasn't getting playing time for us. A player of his calibre should be playing as many games as possible.

It's understandable why he left.
Yes he's basically getting double his wage, but who can blame him?

He's got the opportunity to return to his home country, basically guaranteed game time, and he probably is with his family.

You mean to tell me, that you wouldn't do the same?
Now we can all agree that bayern are scum and are very dodgy.

Yes they did tap him up. It's obvious. But let's consider the fact, that when Liverpool tapped up VVD, they were ordered to stay away from him for 12 months.

Yet it was silent when bayern tapped Sane up 🤔
Now I may sound salty to some, but it's the truth.

Had bayern not tapped him up, he would probably have stayed.

It should also be noted, how bayern get away with this all the time. They do it to every player they sign.
At the end of the day, we were lucky to have Sane.

He was a class player who did great things for this team. If some of our fans consider him a snake, then what does that make James Milner to our fans?

Sane did nothing wrong in reality.
It's also important to note, that the same people who are hating on Sane, are the same people who want Sancho to return.

Sancho left us in a far worse way than Sane. He refused to answer to pep, khaldoon, refused to turn up for training. And lied about being homesick.
Sane didn't bad mouth us to the press, he played when he was asked to, turned up to training.

These were things that Sancho didn't do.

It's time part of our fanbase got a grip.
Our fanbase needs to look at it like this.

All players come and go. We were lucky to have a player of Sane's calibre.

He didn't do anything wrong and he was a joy to watch. If you have a problem with Sane, grow up. Without him, a lot of our recent success would not happen.
Also, his freekicks were bloody incredible.

He provided us great success and joy.

He was an incredible player. We should be thanking him for his contributions to this club.
