Yesterday I discovered a major channel decided to personally insult me.

And now here comes the fans to harass me.
I really didn't want to make a public thing about it, because while it did upset me quite a bit, due to the sheer size of said channel, I felt like I had no recourse from someone who clearly despises me and singled me out because of it.
Do I regret being in them? No, because I more fondly remember the experience of in the rare company of lots of friends and like-minded individuals, many of whom I continue to admire as they go on to ever greater things.
As for the movies themselves, it was a job. My role in them was not to write the scripts, but perform my role as it was written to the best of my ability. On TBF specifically, there was stuff I deliberately didn't ask to change because we had no time and it would slow things down
I didn't mind performing in them "out of character" because I enjoyed the change of pace. I have plenty of regrets about my time at a certain place, and how I fear I will be forever defined by my presence there, but those movies aren't really one of them.
And, look, I'm fine with people making fun of To Boldly Flee, it deserves it. But picking on the people who appeared in it, most of whom are just trying to endure the production however they can (with little control over the content), is cruel, nasty, and out of line.
And I want to make clear, they did not have a direct call-to-action to attack me, but I knew this would be an inevitable consequence of it. What I am asking is to think about the power their words have, especially with the size of their platform, and the responsibility that has.
