I know I always seem like I’m sticking up for Wetherspoons but the classism trickles deep below statements like this. As I showed the other week, this guy and his brand aren’t the only pub baddies, but isn’t it telling that you only focus on them?

Stop hating people because they like a cheap bevvy, a value scran that’s not their own cooking once or twice a week, and a comfortable place to meet their mates just cos you get everything in your kitchen from the local deli and only eat £12 breakfasts.

We should actually all be more riled about a system that makes it so difficult for smaller businesses to flourish in hospitality.
