As our economy opens up, & having done extensive research on the subject, I feel it's my civic duty to run through the best options for store baked Cookies in supermarkets. Because life's shit enough without having to deal with the pain of an underwhelming Chocolate Chip Cookie.
1) M&S: This my friends is the shit right here. More chocolate than a Cadbury factory. Soft, gooey and moist (yes I used that word, get over it). These might as well be called Roger, because they're that Moreish 4.5/5.
Tesco: Now you very much need to get these earlier on in the day as they fade badly as a late afternoon/evening choice. But they're the James Milner of cookies. Solid, reliable, decent with ice cream & a sustainable Nutella alternative 3.5/5.
Waitrose: Go home Waitrose, you're drunk. These have a weird ginger-esk tang to them. Drier than the comedy in a Bill Hicks/Stuart Lee marathon. But nowhere near as enjoyable. Not even ice cream can save these 1/5.
Morrisons: Another solid entry, some nice chunks of chocolate. But also an earlier on in the day pick. Wouldn't write home to your mum about these, but you might pop her a text 3.5/5.
