The #SampledByTweezy by @tweezy thread just shows you hip hop beatmaking is some amazing shit... sampling is an artform. You not just copying something and leaving it be, you are taking from the past and turning it to something for the future. It's alchemy.
Listen to how he flipped MXO's "Hello" into "Go!", How he chopped up a DJ Sbu's house song into a hard trap joint, how he turned a Lira's voice into a boom bap track with an I'll bassline. Tweezy sources from different, but LOCAL sources. And that's a key to his success...
...you are not only listening to the music, you are saying to yourself "hey I remember this!" the original song being used meant something to you in the past and thats the beauty of beat making. When you hear AKA's Amen you first thing you notice is the "Goodbye" sample...
...you are interested in hearing what is he gonna do with that cause you remember that song, it means something to you. He is invoking emotions with that sound. And he ain't just looping it, he is changing the sound, making it dirtier, focusing on the highs, cutting up vocals...
...he ain't just giving it to you in its raw form. That's too easy. He certainly has an ear that can be compared to the likes of Dilla, Madlib, Pete, Preemo, Timbo and he is doing it using sounds that are important to the us, what we grew up listening to. Tweezy is God Level.
Like @TumiMolekane said on Diamond Walk, "This shit is so Amazing." Probably makes sense to say that when your sound bed sounds as amazing as tweezy's beats do.
