Today, the people of this rotten, self-interested nation, itself a collection of mismanaged, stubbornly solipsistic states, will light explosives and drink alcohol to honor the independence of ~60% of its citizens. 1/

The remaining 40%, an eclectic assortment of ethnicities and cultures from around the globe, live in a different nation. 2/

Many of them, a disproportionate number, have no independence from police brutality, class warfare, and a history of oppression that would make even the most successful Imperialists in history proud. 3/

They suffer taxation without any substantial representation, and yet the waters of Boston Harbor are devoid of tea. They suffer murder at the hands of armed men and women under the guise of “law enforcement,” a thinly veiled, unionized gang of white supremacists and bullies. 4/

32% of the population make up 56% of the prison population, with 21% of the world’s prisoners being held on US soil (the US makes up 5% of the world’s population). 5/

Nearly 40,000 brown people are being, or have recently been, held in private detainment facilities. Some of that number have witnessed children dying in their cages.
They are prisoners of a war on people seeking a better life. 6/
