This is hardly a new observation but binge watching has created some a bunch of media that has no interest in telling a story. Rather, it’s about stretching a story out for as long as possible with mostly the illusion of progress.
The goal is to keep you coming back by constantly teasing a conclusion that might come. And it works so I don’t want to say it doesn’t, but I find myself disinterested in most of these stories long before they reach that conclusion
The 1st episode of Warrior Nun spends most of its run time establishing and then reestablishing its premise. But the whole thing feels like slo mo.
Opinions vary and different stories have different needs and goals, but I just don’t have the patience for a lot of these types of stories.

And when they go to cliffhanger mode even at the end of their “seasons”, almost nothing turns off my interest sooner
