As small kid I specifically fantasized a lot about being a tomboy archetype.

From an early on I resented how from my limited perspective girls were allowed a wider range of expression in the culture I grew up in.
Girls were allowed to be tough, boys HAD to be tough. Girls were allowed to have masculine hobbies and interests, boys HAD to have masculine hobbies and interests.
I thought so much about how awesome it would be to be a girl and still not be judged for liking boy things because as a boy I'd be judged for liking girl things.
In retrospect being a woman that's feminine but can still hold her on own against the guys...there's just something quite primally me about that.
