I’m watching #HamiltonFilm right now it’s the first time I’ve heard or seen it.

Surprising because I sat next to @dgtedford for years.

Anyway, I promised @MKMetivier I’d share my thoughts so buckle up!

Some background: we watched sports when I was a kid, not musicals, really ever unless you count Disney movies in the 90s so this format is def not one I’d say I totally “get”

Anyway back to costuming. I love that almost everyone wears the minimalist white and they just change coats.

Oh man they’re at the scene where they have the “not giving away my shot” reprisal with George WA and I love his musicals do that.

It is kind of annoying when the audience laughs just because I remember how huge this show was when this was taped and how everyone had to know when the jokes were coming.
A good audience laughs on que, but still

So wait. Aaron Burr is just jealous because he has all the advantages but Hamilton just HAS IT?

I feel like people died for super innocuous things and only lived to like 60 anyway. And it was still ok to like shoot each other? That’s just so silly.

It’s so sad every time they talk about abolishing slavery. America had slaves for over 150 years by the time the American Revolution happened. And didn’t fight the civil war for nearly another 100 and here we are in 2020 still not doing real great with racism.
