Who do you think will benefit from the dissolution of the PRC? It certainly wouldn’t be Chinese people, that’s for sure. There are numerous detailed studies that describe how quality of life standards across the board dropped astronomically for people in former USSR nations.

It won’t be leftism, either. No matter what your position on China is, it is intellectual naiveity to assume that in the flaming wreckage of the PRC a new PRC will be proclaimed that adheres to principally Maoism. We all know that the actual outcome would be US led Balkanization

and the complete subjugation of the Chinese people under Western imperialist capitalist machine. (Insert but China is capitalist comment here without being honest enough to see the difference between the current state of the Chinese economy and what would happen under US control)

Not to mention that China functions as a primary ally to many socialist countries (and even if you think that China doesn’t support the right socialist movements according to your ideology, they still support anti-neoliberal nations struggling against western imperialism)—

That’s a good thing, objectively. Ideological purity will not serve you in your quest for actual liberation, critical support and analysis will. But that’s besides the point, what I am meaning to say is if the PRC falls, soon after so will socialist nations across the world.

Even if you think all currently existing socialist countries are revisionist capitalist nations, you are literally kidding yourself and doing a disservice to actual marxist analysis if you think that leftism shouldn’t be invested in countering the Neoliberal conquering machine.

The actual benefactor of such collapse will be the United States and it’s imperialist allies. They will seize and divide up all these lands, subjugating their peoples to the capitalist grinding machine, and they will tighten their grip and strengthen their hold on the world.

These nations have ruled most of the world for centuries and they will only gain further dominance in even more areas if these nations crumble. I am begging you no matter what your leftist ideology is to please consider the actual material consequences of the fall of the PRC—

Or the collapse of other anti-Neoliberal world order nations. History is messy, mistakes are made, steps are made and walked back, but there is powerful energy in the nations that exist today resisting Neoliberal imperialism.

There is a pathway forward, but it may take detours that seem nonsensical to you along the way. All genuine leftists want the dissolution of the state, the eradication of class, the destruction of exploitative systems which crush the soul of billions of people around the world.

The neoliberal world order has the benefit of piggy backing off of the imperialism going back over 500+ years in the past. I promise you that it’s defeat will not come swiftly, and not every step back or retreat is permanent.

Be critical, don’t unthinkingly support or reject leftist ideas, socialist countries or movements, think deeply about it and have the bigger picture in mind. We are all fighting for the same goal, and that goal will only be achieved by a varied pathway.
