The thing that I force myself to think about is my #WhitePrivilege allows me to opt in or out of the conversation or even my own thoughts whenever I want. I have the ability to say “I’m tired. I cant think about #race, #oppression, & #murder today.” I have a choice.

That’s pretty fucked up & selfish. I can find an excuse to NOT enter into the process of working towards solutions. My #Black & #Brown brothers/sisters don’t have that choice. They can’t ever opt out of dealing with #SystemicRacism simply because of how they were born.

Condemning #MAGA isn’t enough. As I speak out more, I know Im going to show my #bias, #racism, & #privilege but I will face the mirror of my own work. I want to & WILL enter the arena to do my work & the work thats needed for change. I invite you to correct me when its needed.

Preaching to my white brothers/sisters (but mostly to MYSELF)... it is on ME to educate myself. The information is available, the desire just needs to be there to find it & absorb it. I won’t put any more burden on communities of color to hold my hand through this.

I’m going to be more present & actively learn from the leaders/organizations who have been working towards equality for hundreds of years. To listen to the solutions from within the community & follow their lead.

Washington has MAIL-IN ballots for all elections so #COVID19 shouldn’t impact OUR voting ability. You can vote safely. Your vote matters.
