Under the amended version of this bill, tech platforms no longer have to “earn” their CDA 230 protections. Power has been transition from a committee of 19 ppl to the state lawmakers.
all the “earning” that was supposed to happen in accordance with the mysterious best practices and 19 ppl commission of LEO has been tossed. Now power is given to the state to make up their own laws allowing state prosecutors or private lawyers to straight sue platforms
