Been a few weeks so here’s a Photo Thread! Today’s are from Bushkill Falls in the Poconos. The walk tested me. Not the distance so much - about as far as I walk most nights. But I don’t usually walk down (& back up) the equivalent of 11 flights of stairs! Here’s the main falls.
I tried to go even longer exposure here but with no tripod, it was starting to get to be too much light (these are “real” long exposure shots with the good camera, not like when I cheat on the iPhone)
A nice angle from farther downstream. These falls are over 100 feet high - for scale, see the family in the lower left (who look like they are at the bottom but are themselves still about a third or quarter of the way up)
A view from the bottom. I sacrificed being able to show the top of the falls in exchange for showing the beautiful greenery in the lower canyon bowl.
This view from the top is ok on a phone. But on my big monitor, it actually was almost queasy-inducing (for perspective, if you’ve been paying attention to this thread, that boardwalk in the lower right is approximately where that family was standing in my earlier shot)
