I have always wanted to say something about the methods the @PoliceNG use in extracting information or getting suspects to speak during interrogation. I've been disturbed lately, because I feel most methods used are near INHUMANE which will make an innocent person confess..... a)
to a crime he or she never committed. Most definitely, when a crime is committed the Nigerian Police is tasked with the sole responsibility of fishing out who the perpetrators are.

INTERROGATION.
"No man is guilty, until a Court of competent jurisdiction says so" this makes the law enforcement agency get all facts on time so as to pursue prosecution.
Methods such as use of batons, hot iron, boiling ring, electric shock etc to me is totally inhumane...c)

This barbaric method, has made so many innocent SUSPECTS confess to crimes they have no idea about.
The pain that emanates from such treatment will definitely force one to dance to the tune of the interrogator.
The pain is so unbearable!!!...d)

All I feel within me is that, there should be better and more humane way of getting people to say what they know about certain issues.
Treating a suspect with utmost violence so as to get him or her to confess is BARBARIC.
I don't even know if I made any sense with this...e)

Thread, but it's just what keeps ringing in my head, whenever I remember the story my dad told me of a persons experience with the Nigerian Police, in the interrogation room...
Also in addition, police chiefs should stop giving deadlines to crime investigators...f)

When deadline is approaching, they end up picking anybody and the whole thing gets messy. They should be left to work with all needed time frame so as to avoid Making innocent people pay for crimes they known nothing about.
Just my opinion though.... God bless us all....
