http://vote.gov
Register to vote. Do it for every hungry kid, every person without mental healthcare, every non-violent offender jailed for weed, every POC who greets death in their own homes at the hands of police, and every woman whose had body autonomy stripped away.
Don’t tell me, in the middle of a national pandemic quarantine, that you can’t find the time to register to vote. It is the bare fucking minimum you can do to show up for the oppressed, the impoverished, the sick, and those in need.
If you need more information about voter registration deadlines for your state, go here:

https://www.usvotefoundation.org/vote/state-elections/state-election-dates-deadlines.htm

Then take 30 seconds to put an event on your phone’s calendar (WITH ONE DAY AND ONE WEEK BEFORE NOTIFICATIONS) to remind you to register.
After you register to vote, take this quiz:

https://www.isidewith.com/political-quiz

You will answer a series of questions about your political views to find out which presidential candidate best align with your views. There are great descriptions of each topic if you need further education.
Once you find out which presidential candidate best aligns with your views, go here to find out about your upcoming local and state elections:

https://www.usa.gov/midterm-state-and-local-elections

You can also go here to find your state’s local election website:

https://www.usa.gov/election-office
After you find out which candidate(s) align with your views, go here to find out how to vote in your state on Election Day:

https://www.usa.gov/election-day

You’ll also find your polling place. Some states will allow mail-in voting due to COVID. Others will not/have not decided.
Once you find out about how to vote in your state, find out what type of identification is needed for voting in your state here:

https://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/voter-id.aspx#Laws%20in%20Effect

You can click each individual state for more information.
Finally, you gotta know WHEN to vote right? So go BACK to that website with the voter registration deadlines for your state:

https://www.usvotefoundation.org/vote/state-elections/state-election-dates-deadlines.htm

And take 30 seconds put ANOTHER event in your phone’s calendar (with those same notifications!!!) to remind yourself.
Sounds like a lot to get ready to vote, right? A lot of time, a lot of effort?

Wrong.

I went through the motions of getting all this set up (including researching local/state elections and taking the quiz and all that good stuff) and guess how long it took?

ONE HOUR.
ONE HOUR is all it takes for you to register to vote, find your candidates, choose state officials for local leadership, brush up on important topics, and set phone notifications.

And you don’t even have to do it all at once! (But you should, because why not?)
Make the time. Make the effort. Fucking VOTE. Show up for your neighbors, your city, and your country. Make your voice fucking heard. Your vote counts. There is power in the people. But the people have to act.
Please RT/share the shit out of this thread get others ready for voting day. We’re all in this together. We gotta be. There’s nobody else looking out for us. Current leadership is BANKING on millennials & gen z not voting so nothing has to change. Prove them wrong.
