For those who are having a coronary over the "Negro Anthem" (I think that's the proper name), I challenge you to go to @WayneDupreeShow feed and listen to it.
Then research the history behind this poem/song and WHY it's significant.
Let's not be divided over something beautiful.

It's apparent that 280 limits clarity.
I'm neither condoning nor chastising NFL for its choice. Frankly I don't care about pro ball.
My concern is always w/truth, facts, & history.
America is so deeply divided over issues that often aren't real issues.

Too few Americans read past a headline. Fewer still dig into a story for facts or history. Legacy media are muckrakers.
YES the NFL is pandering. Since we recognize this why argue the issue?
Why not instead use THEIR pandering as a means to unite instead of furthering the divide?

Read or listen to the Negro Anthem, research its history, and TEACH it to your kids, neighbors, etc.
Use this NFL pandering as an opportunity to educate about our collective American history.
Turn their weapons against them.
THIS is how the battle is won.

My whole point with this thread is for all of us to learn our collective history.
My soul aches right now with our divided country. It was meant to help us reunite. Sadly, it seems to have failed in that mission.
Frankly, I'm at a loss for what else to do as I watch America burn.
