Oladipo will turn 30 in the first year of his next deal and will have sat out a season and a half in the year before.

The Pacers might be criticized if they don’t offer Vic a max deal, but I think they’d be crazy to without seeing him play like an All-Star over a whole season.

This is also a case for Vic sitting out the restart being the best move.

Vic wasn’t an All-Star caliber player when he came back and probably won’t be in a few weeks.

It’s in the best interests for him personally and for the long term relationship with the Pacers.

Also it’s time to stop thinking Oladipo is the best Pacers player. It’s Domas now, next year, and for the foreseeable future.

I hope Vic comes back better than ever, but we need to stop pretending like he’s just going to be 17-18 Vic again in a matter of time.
