Guess I will be retweeting this a lot this summer and just changing the picture for whom it relates.

When was the last time Klopp signed a midfielder and he settled right away? Gini.

Bender, Gundogan, Fabinho, Ox, Keita - they are usually slow starters as they adjust tactically to what he wants.

That is assuming that they adapt well to English footballer. The hit-rate with
players coming to the EPL for the first time around 30 or over is quite poor - for good reason.
That is before we even talk about fitness. What is it about a 29 year old who is only fit enough to start 47% of Bayern's matches in his time at the club that screams Liverpool signing?

Bearing it mind, Klavan & Matip who both moved here from the Bundesliga broke down often.
Klavan even said the higher intensity and increase in physical workload was the main cause for this and that his body shape physically changed from one year to the next. What makes anybody believe Thiago will go through that process without breaking down even more than he does?
No doubt this plays a huge part of Keita's early struggles here. Bearing in mind, Keita is a player who started 90% of Leipzig's games - dropping to 82% in his final seasons but that was due to two periods he was suspended.

Thiago at 47% during his peak years, now at 29?
Likewise you look at Klavan - he only missed ~1 match a season with injury. Yet coming to Liverpool in his later years sees him constantly break down.

Matip - played 30+/34 games in 4 of his last 5 seasons at Schalke.
