Interesting article on police oversight today. You would think policing is the only public service that exists. Lost in the void is the discussion of any other public service oversight in the media and in general. What is their prevalence and impact of systemic racism?
The Ontario government has an Integrity Commissioner. By and large complaints of misconduct are sent back to the Ministry that are the subject of the complaint. Very few result in any substantiation let alone discipline.

Surely judges are held to a higher standard? "This review panel, consisting of two judges, a lawyer and another community member, will also carefully review your complaint prior to reaching its decision." 1/24 complaints resulted in a hearing.

London city council has an Integrity Commissioner. They haven't filed an "Annual Report" since 2017.

The Ombudsman received over 26,000 complaints last year with over 1,000 about Tribunals Ontario. Interestingly 5 were about the SIU which were "resolved with no formal investigation."
