It's not a mushy tale, so please relax
It's a narration of my heart's delight.

There once was a girl, with eyes so bright
And lips so sweet, her words were life
Her laughter made a fool of me
Her chuckles were my pride's undoing.

She was sweet but full of truth
A guide, a compass, but still my sugar
Didn't take efforts to get me tender
Her very existence was my mumu button.

I loved her deeply like she was earth's last maiden
I loved her so much, like she was my baby
And now, in the future, as I write this poem
I can't imagine all these years without her.

Soft and tender and full in the right places
Strong and resilient and full of wisdom
My heart's delight and my soul's comforting
My very own babie, my lover, my woman
