If you see these kind of aggressions towards patients call them out. Every time. Cruelty to people who are suffering by people in positions of power is a massive warning flag that something worse is going on that you don’t see. It isn’t burnout or stress. Those are different.
Cruelty towards people with mental health problems by staff is a patient safety issue.

Other caring staff witnessing it but walking by, not acting, and thinking it’s not my problem is a patient safety issue.
The moment you see it and walk by and don’t act, it’s your problem. You are helping to maintain it.
