I was born and brought up in a Christian home to devout Christian parents. My father likes to entertain & inspire us with stories of his past. How he was a chronic smoker and was later diagnosed with heart disease...🧵

He doesn't give much details about his recovery but simply tells us that Jesus saved him.
Born to devout Christian parents could only mean one thing: that above all else, you must never miss church. So the church naturally became my second home and
I fell in love with Christianity and was consequently consumed by the love of God.
When I was 13, I asked my dad a question that had always bothered me.

"Are Muslims going to be in heaven with us?"
He regarded me for some minutes, he looked clairvoyant, as though he wanted to know the reason behind this question. He said no, that the only way to heaven was through Jesus Christ.
That since Muslims do not believe in Christianity, which he referred to as 'the only true religion,' they would sadly not be in heaven with us.
I was young but I didn't agree with him, his answer seemed wrong and didn't satisfy me. But I wouldn't disagree openly with him, I thanked him and that was that.
As time went on, I found myself in a boarding school. Being a free spirit, I quickly made friends with people from different backgrounds and religions.
I didn't set out to make friends with just Christians. Once you were well-behaved, we could be friends. Religion was never one of my criteria.
The question which I asked my dad and didn't receive a satisfactory answer kept tugging at me, intent on never giving me a second of rest until I found an answer. And I kept thinking why can't people who aren't Christians make heaven like us?
I found out that they did the same things we did too. They prayed. They fasted. They had set dates to mark important events. In fact, I felt they were more devoted than us. And I concluded that we worshipped same God.
Only difference was the name we called our God and also, maybe, the means of communication. If we worshipped same God, then why can't we all make heaven? I reasoned.
Oh well, with time, I learnt about Krishna, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad. I found out they were all teachers. Teachers who taught love. I reasoned that if all they taught was love, then love was the cental focus of their religion.
Love was their religion. I also concluded that God is love. And all you needed to make heaven was to have a good heart and show love.
Oh well, My name is Paul and I think or rather believe, all good persons will go to heaven regardless of religion. Thank you.🙏🏾
