Today the UN Human Rights Council had a chance to hear a witness on actual slavery happening in 2020. Its members banged on tables and talked over the guy until the session was over. Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, China, and Eritrea (also a communist dictatorship, TIL) did everything in their power to make it impossible for the Human Rights Council to hear a statement on human rights violations.

I don't think I have ever seen anyone embarrass the UN Human Rights Council quite like Ariel Ruiz Urquiola. What a brave and extraordinary soul. And all he did was calmly get through a short statement!

In conclusion, defund the UN.
