If you are not offering both, your customer will turn to someone that does.

As simple as that.

When you offer only one product, the odds are 50/50.

"Should I buy this? "Yes / No.

When you offer different versions, the question changes, and your odds increase.

"Which one should I get?"

Different approach. Different outcome.
4/ Persuasion

When you offer different versions

You can make one option noticeably better than the rest

And drive your customer towards a specific version.

It's called the Decoy Effect.

Companies use it all the time.
