The extreme erasure of lesbians and lesbiansm in the LGBT community, a mega thread
From erasing lesbian history and the definition of lesbian, to forcing lesbians out of their safe spaces and making them feel uncomfortable in their own label, lesbian is arguably one of the most erased identites of the community
even before the new identites that plagued the community started to become popular, lesbians were often left out of pride posts and tshirts, only to be replaced with pansexual, or asexual, despite being the first of LGBT, lesbians are often just, forgotten
First off, let's start with the most controversial subject:

he/him and they/them lesbians.
this term had become extremely common within the online community within such a short amount time, and along with that came the people who blindly the supported the term with no questions asked
he/him lesbians are not only extremely offensive to the lesbian community, but also to the enby and trans communites as well, wrongly using he/him pronouns despite still identifying as women which promotes the wrong idea to younger members +
and other people who may be questioning their sexuality or gender
not to mention how they actively use iconic butch and trans lesbians such as Stormé Delarverie and Marsha P Johnson to promote their agenda, which is not only super offensive to those beautiful women who fought endlessly for their rights +
but also offensive to the entirety of butch lesbians, trans lesbians and drag kings in history
These women had to use he/him pronouns for their protection, wether in drag or just being their self, these women used h/h, not at their own will, because they were pressured to use those pronouns in that time +
it is especially transphobic to use he/him for Marsha because she was a trans woman, and using he/him for stomé not only promotes gender stereotypes that if you look and dress like a man, you are man, but also misgenders her as well
not only were butch lesbians jailed for being themselves, they were also raped and beaten for their gender non-conformity and lesbiansm, and some even felt pressured into transitioning into transmen because of how harsh societies gender roles were on them
despite their endless fight for their rights and place in society as both women and lesbians, they are endlessly erased by this new identity that the internet has mustered up
as for they/them "lesbians" and other nonbinary "lesbians", not only are they forcing nonbinary people into gender binaries, they are actively misgendering themselves and others, it has been an extremely common misconception that gender non-conforming and nonbinary are the same
nonbinary "lesbians" actively seek to try and erase the definition of lesbian, trying to actively imply that lesbians are women, or females, it's super disrespectful, I made a thread on this already however, so feel free to check that out
the definition of lesbian is a woman who is exclusively attracted to women, or a homosexual woman, these definitions (will be important for our next subject so please remember them)
nonbinary people are not women, we are nonbinary, and since woman is a binary term we do not fit into that label, since it implies that we are females, not to mention that nonbinary people already have labels like femenamoric and trixic
wether you are feminine or masculine alligned, or neither, we are all nonbinary and can use the same labels, a masc enby and a feminine enby can both use feminimoric or trixic to identify themselves if they are exclusively attracted to women or just attracted to women
if you don't like them, youre low-key being enbyphobic twords your own term, or you could just use nblw, simple as that
despite having these labels, nonbinary people (not all of them ofc) still insist on trying to erase and shove their way into a label that doesn't fit them at all, while bisexual is a term that can be used for any gender, lesbian and gay are both EXCLUSIVELY labels for women/men
not only are they shoving lesbians out of their own label, they are actively erasing lesbians and history by shoving their way into their label, and not only do they do this, but they constantly use the d slur as well +
a slur which they are not allowed to reclaim since they are not actually lesbians
moving on to our next subject,
bi/pan/straight lesbians
now obviously just by the label you can tell that not only are people try to destroy the label gender wise, but also attraction wise
bi/pan/straight lesbians have also been surfacing as a result of the mega erasure of the label lesbian, regardless of your opinion on bi/pan discourse, we can all agree that Bi/pan lesbians should not exist as the label itself is contradictory
a bi lesbian was actually a term that was created by TERF lesbians in order to put down lesbians who dated trans women, so the term itself is a terf rhetoric that a few of these entitled people have attempted to reclaim the term and change its meaning
many of the people who use this label are either varioriented, feel entitled to the label lesbian, or have no attraction to men but also have attraction to nonmen
because of this label +
lesbian has been watered down to just "nonmen loving nonmen", which is not the correct definition of lesbian
even if you are a varioriented person, wether you're homoromantic and Bisexual, or biromantic and homosexual, you still have that attraction to genders that are not women, while varioriented people can use "lesbian" because they are exclusively attracted to one gender
they cannot use terms like bi lesbian, since that is extremely disrespectful to both the bisexual and lesbian communites
however I would like to mention that terms like sapphic are way more respectful and fit them better if they are women exclusively attracted to women in one way, but not exclusively in the other
but variorientation isn't a preference thing, if you are a homoromantic Bisexual woman for example, you experience NO romantic attraction to men or nonbinary people, but you experience sexual attraction to them, same goes for vice versa
as for those who are attached to the label lesbian, let it go, you're a bisexual woman, please stop disrespecting both the lesbian and bisexual community becuase you refuse to let the label lesbian go
lesbian is not a fancy little sticker you can wear, it's an actual label, please respect it and those who are ACTUALLY lesbians
those who are attracted to nonmen, please use sapphic or bisexual, since using lesbian to describe your attraction to nonbinary people is not only transphobic but also misgendering to us
implying that a bisexual person can be a lesbian as well is absurd since the labels gay and lesbian both encompass exclusive attraction to men or women, and bisexual includes attraction to all genders
next, let's move on to vixenamoric
vixenamoric was a term coined by ( @ssapphrodite) on Twitter, this term was made because the label lesbian has been erased so much that lesbians no longer even feel comfortable in their own label, so now they're making new ones, and new flags too
despite the fact that I am a trixic enby now, back when I still identified as a cis lesbian, I felt the extreme erasure of having my label excessively erased and people constantly shoving themselves into it
the bad stigma surrounding the label lesbian has grown extremely, and those who finally came to terms with their lesbiansm are now getting forced out of their safespace and their label by people who don't belong there
and even worse, ssapphrodite faced extreme backlash for the new term she made, which was meant for WOMEN who EXCLUSIVELY love WOMEN, and of course the hesbians and theysbians insisted on trying to invade that label too
the label wasn't meant for nonwomen, yet they've proven their lesbophobia time and time again, from not only forcing their way into the label, but constantly calling any lesbian who doesn't agree with them the d slur +
and insisting on spamming, and endlessly harassing anyone who doesn't agree with them, going as far as raiding servers, sending death threats, sending s/h pictures, and fake doxxing/threatening to doxx
the erasure of lesbianism has gone so far that's it's caused an even bigger rift within the community, from those of us who actually try to preserve the history and meanings of our labels to those of us who blindly accept every single thing they see
now cis men and some transmen think it's okay to ID as a lesbian, people who have boyfriends claim to be lesbian, everything historical lesbians fought for has been absolutely destroyed and erased, to the point to where actual lesbians no longer want to identify with that label
lesbian erasure has not only become extremely popular but the fact that it's supported is honestly disgusting, I feel so sorry for lesbians and how they feel like they have to make new flags and labels in order to feel comfortable because people insist on erasing them
for now, the thread ends here, of course there's even more, so feel free to suggest, and I'll be considering make a TL;DR since I wrote an entire novel here
some side notes:
vixenamoric includes transwomen
I will not be responding to any negativity related to this thread
a side note: someone made an extremely important comment on the vixenamoric case, vixenamoric includes transwomen, because it literally includes all women, however hesbians/theysbians and their supporters have been saying that it DOESN'T include transwomen +
which means that they don't see transwomen as real women or they would understand that vixenamoric includes transwomen because transwomen, ARE women, they're being inherently transphobic
