I really like working night shift so far but I am even more perpetually baffled as to what day it is than usual
That said, job is so far good. By which I mean it is boring as fuck but (a) I don't have to deal with admin bullshit, (b) I can wear sweatpants to work, (c) did I mention I don't have to deal with admin bullshit this is amazing
The place I worked for the last several years, admin was so delightful that my old boss finally resigned in protest because HR fired all her part time workers due to covid budget cuts without telling her, after refusing to answer her questions about this possibility for weeks
and there you have why I never want to work in higher ed again, in a nutshell.
ANYWAY yeah. Steady job with little thought required virtually no human interaction is honestly kind of a relief for right now.
And this thread quickly turned more ranty than intended which is probably a sign I should go sleep.
