I'm slowly coming to the realisation that #AEWDynamite is the Rick and Morty of the wrestling world whilst #WWENXT is Bob's Burgers.

I really like Bob's Burgers. It's genuinely very good at what it does, and when they get it spot on it's a tremendously entertaining show.

But it is, by design fairly one dimensional and rarely changes its formula or tries to make you think.

And that's more than okay because it's not trying to do anything else.

The aim is not to make you look more deeply into the storylines so criticising it for not doing so is perhaps unfair.

Rick and Morty on the other hand can also just be enjoyed at face value.

For the casual observer, perhaps those who normally watch Bob's Burgers, it is funny and has entertaining one-off storylines.

It's a very good show. Like Bob's Burgers.

But unlike Bob's Burgers, if you pay attention and really engage with the show, there is so much more detail in Rick and Morty.

Little details become parts of the main story.

Seemingly old stories come back around again.

Storylines are never left with plot holes because they've been planned months if not years in advance.

Also it pokes fun at itself and the industry and understands the trends it references rather than just parroting them.

Also, Rick and Morty has a cult like following including some fans that really dont like it when you say you prefer Bob's Burgers.

Its weird and scary if you anger them.

Basically I really like Bob's Burgers.

But personally I love Rick and Morty because there is just so much more depth to it if you pay attention.

Theres a time and a place for both, but only one is able to engage me on a deeper level.
