Since the father of Khabib has recently passed away, there has been a sudden rise in the number of high profile muslim figures who praised him, with others fanboying over the father of the MMA fighter. Yet is all as it seems?
First, the Russian gov., which Khabib and his father have citizenship from.

In numerous articles, Khabib's father Abdulmanap has been detailed as a supporter of the murderous Russian regime, and has even fought in the Russian army in Dagestan.
An army which as previously mentioned massacred thousands of Muslims and installed an oppressive government.

The close relationship between the tyrannical Russian regime and the Nurmagomedov family is quite evident in how they willingly greeted Putin, and how Khabib participated in training Russian soldiers.
For those in the UK/US, it's equal to an Imam or scholar shaking hands with Tony Blair or George Bush, who murdered thousands in Iraq. Or a Muslim wrestler training British/US troops.
Those very same troops who are responsible for the killings and destruction of Muslim lands.

Now the question arises: Why, when anyone shows themselves to be remotely Islamic do we throw themselves at their feet?

When a Muslim succeeds in the public sphere in arenas dominated by kuffar, Muslims become obsessive about them because we have representation.

We need to get rid of this toxic mentality. Our role models aren't any random kids who say "Allah"!

Our role models should be the Prophet (saw), the sahabah, the Tab'een, the scholars of Islam who came after, the four Imams, the commanders of the Muslim armies.

I acknowledge that he has indeed passed away, and I do give my condolences.
However, we cannot be ignorant of the reality of what Khabib's family supports, and the Russian government's atrocities against Islam and the Muslims.
