This may be important or it may not be. I thought I would share it just in case. About 8 days ago, I came down with a cough that felt rib shattering. I ran a fever for 2 days. And had GI issues. I got tested for #Covid_19. The test came back negative (Yeah!!!). But ...
I was told that the test is only 65-70% accurate because it really depends on how much virus you are shedding when tested. To be on the safe side, I decided to isolate the full 14 days so that I don't expose anyone in case I do have it. I am on day 8. Here is the thing...
The cough was horrible. I coughed until I vomited. My ribs hurt. All my muscles hurt. On day 7 I was still no better. The inhaler I got did not work to stop the coughing. Nothing did. So my doc put me on something that is used to treat Gout (IKR?) called #Colchicine ....
Along with a Zpac. Again, I tested negative for Covid, so this may not be of any help. But on the off chance that the test was wrong and I do have it, I wanted to suggest that #Colchicine be tested as a possible Covid treatment. Why?
Because along with Zpac, I stopped coughing within 24 hours and my energy seemed to get better too. GI problems stopped. As I said, this may mean nothing or it may mean something. But I thought would share this info just in case it could help others. - The end
