Aite. This is the realest of the realest. This is BM's opinion about Twitter. He knows what's up. He has stopped looking at Twitter because of how toxic the community is, how it gives people so much anxiety and how people tend to manipulate people's words to fit their narratives.
Stop the cycle. Don't be the person who contributed in perpetuating these toxic behaviors. No matter how big or small your acc is, everybody plays an important part in building this community. Aim to be better. Be in control. Do not let those toxic people bring the worst in you.
If you cannot take the heat, DO NOT ENGAGE. Block, mute, report. YOU are in control with what you see on your timeline. Recognize when you're hurt & normalize taking a break from here. Take at least one day to do something outside of Twitter. Discover yourself.
Learn to let go. Do not camp in anyone else' platforms just to validate your feelings. It is not healthy. Use your platform to spread love and raise awareness. Trust in yourself. You are loved and important. Keep going. I know you are trying your best.
To some people, Twitter might be the next best place to go or the only option that they have at the moment when it gets tough in real life. So, let's aim to create a better alternative environment for people where they can feel safe, gain comfort and express their love.
If you want to make a difference, take some time to get informed about the current issues and find ways that you can help. Big or small, every help counts. What's important is that YOU do it because you sincerely and genuinely wants to help. https://currentintissues.carrd.co/
