While the Great War between the child-free and the parents of quarantine (that I have no desire to join) continues...

I’m just here to remind folks that plenty of folks are child-free by choice, yes, but others are not, and it’s painful to hear they’re “lucky.”

Carry on👌🏾
Everyone’s situation is different and whether you have kids or not, a pandemic is hard in different ways for different folks. Vent as you need.

Just consider that as we, for example, talk politically abt Black maternal health, that’s not theory for some folks.
The path to potential parenthood, should you choose it, is hard and scary and different for literally everyone and perhaps, maybe, venting on either side of this thing can be devoid of judgement or aspersions cast on the other side cause you never know someone’s story.🤷🏾‍♀️
I keep thinking of the women I know and love so much...some of whom have one child and have wanted another and have been unable thus far...the women who have wanted children & keep experiencing heartbreak...the folks who’ve had kids and struggle thru PPD and disconnection...
All to be judged, especially when Black, by docs that won’t take their pain seriously.

Like, can everyone just say “this is what’s hard for me” & stop the sentence before they judge someone else, or not reply to someone’s frustrations w judgement? Whew this has sucked to watch.
