Thoughts on #GW32 & #GW33 --> a THREAD
GW32 was a more action-packed than GW31, with an avg of 3.4 goals per game and not a single draw. Only Utd, Ars & City kept cleans with late CS wipes for New and Shu.
Below I'll share some thoughts on the games and targets for GW33 onwards

AVL 0 - 1 WOL (0.64 - 0.72 xG)
A turgid affair as you can see from the above, with not 1 big chance recorded in the game. Villa have improved defensively (10th best xGC last 6) but going fwd things have dried up and Grealish no longer looks a viable option.

Wolves get it done again but looked tired and didn't create much (Jimi 3 shots, Jota 1). Dendoncker some great runs, fired off 4 shots, great goal, but with Foden, Saka et al emerging there are better cheap mids. Keep Jimi, Doc, Saiss, Boly etc but be aware fixtures now middling
WAT 1 - 3 SOU (0.48 - 1.30)
Watford terrible, Ings clinical. Sarr just about a hold for great fix gw34-36 (NOR, NEW, whu) but otherwise avoid. Ings clearly in great form and fitness, altho no one outperforms their xG by this much (18 gls from 12.3 xG) long-term. 3 tough fix next

CRY 0 - 1 BUR (0.91 - 0.36)
#TeamPope took the day despite 17 shots from Palace. Burnley have gone uber-Dyche and are playing about 7 defenders due to injuries, so it doesn't take much for Pope to take home bonus pts on top of CSs. He's great, Taylor a hold too... let's move on

BHA 0 - MUN 3 (0.39 - 0.98)
A fairly convincing win despite those xG figures. Bruno and Greenwood were terrific, Pogba highly involved too, WanB continues to push forward and cross more although the assist was a 10 ft sideways pass blag. Martial peripheral, Rashford wide & deep.

Fixtures are superb, different guys will shine each GW in this multi-faceted attack and I suggest you have 3 Utd players for the run-in. I think Bruno is the pick of the bunch - penalty taker 1a, rips off lots of shots, on most set pieces and creative in open play too. Baller
After Bruno I'd rank them Martial, Greenwood (incredible talent & value, minutes less certain), WanB, Rash, Maguire, Pogba. I know there's a lot of Rashford frustration but he's too good not to bounce back soon. FTs are a precious resource so don't waste them swapping Utd assets
ARS 4 - 0 NOR (1.50 - 0.25)
I'm not gonna lie - this felt like Christmas as an Auba capper. Apparently Krul and Drmic had him in their teams as well given their extraordinary generosity. Arsenal otherwise were fine but Norwich so obliging. Arsenal fixtures now get really tough..

so other than Saka as 5th mid or Auba if you have more pressing issues, I'd avoid (until good fix in 37 & 38). We'll get to Kane in a minute but a simple hokey cokey between Kane (gws 33-36) and Auba (37-38) works quite nicely. Norwich AVOID obviously - that goose is cooked
BOU 1 - 4 NEW (1.70 - 1.84)
The scoreline flattered the Toon a touch but Bou have been woeful lately and Eddie Howe wears the expression of a man who's forgotten where he parked. Newcastle hugely improved since Bruce switched to 4-2-3-1 to try and impress the incoming (?) owners

St Maximin has gone from entertaining trickster to the absolute full package during the season - he's turning defenders into stone seemingly at ease and is now making the right decisions after that. There aren't a lot of great fixtures left for New but a v fun pick at just 5.5m
EVE 2 - 1 LEI (1.20 - 1.84)
About the only game I didn't see. It sounded like neither team looked great and Leicester's form is in the toilet. I've no interest in their assets as teams seem to have figured out how to nullify them successfully. On the Everton side...

I want to focus on DCL, a player who many seem to be fed up with and considering ditching just as I'm poised to bring him in. I know if any fwd blanks 4x running we get frustrated but he was on an incredible run prior (5 gls 1 ast in 6) which wasn't sustainable. Looking at the...
...underlying #s, they remain v strong. Since Ancelotti came in (gw19) his xGI of 9.3 is topped only by Salah (10.1) & Jimenez (9.6), and in his last 6 he's still 4th among fwds, narrowly behind Rash, Kane & Jimi. Fixtures are fine with v nice home games in 34, 36, 38. I'm buying
WHU 3 - 2 CHE (2.22 - 1.61)
Chelsea controlled a lot of the game (71% possession!) but West Ham made the better chances from set pieces and then on the break. Antonio was excellent throughout and has an insane xGI of 6.04 over his last 6, easily top of all players! Fixtures...

...shift very kindly for them now too, and almost out of nowhere he is someone to consider playing OOP up front, tho not as cheap as we might like at 6.9m. Could be a great differential though if you're chasing. On the Chelsea side of things, Pulisic is the guy turning heads...
...and again looked electric on the ball, fouled for both of Willian's set piece goals. Went close with a curled effort 1st half and always looks so direct and dangerous. Puli's xGI/90 is elite at 0.63, below only Raz (0.79), Mo (0.75), Antonio (!!,0.69) & KDB (0.66) among mids.
I'd have Puli if I was on WC and he's among my top targets but with Alonso already, Puli plaing 90 last time and tough fix for Chelsea in 37-38 I'm 50/50 on it. Speaking of Alonso, 6 straight 90s in the league and the underlying stats remain elite. I'm surprised he gets no buzz
SHU 3 - 1 TOT (1.61 - 1.09)
Kane looked hungry for goals and should probably have had at least 1 more here. I think he'll finish the season strong and you could do worse if you're looking for an Auba replacement. Son playing deeper than we'd want but still pops up w/ a return...

...and he'll continue to find ways to do so. Just not looking explosive enough from this position to be worth 9.7 but if you already have him I think it's a low priority issue. Aurier is the only other Spurs player I'd touch, still looks a decent option despite the shambles here.
Sheff Utd looked more like the pre-Covid version and it was good to see them showing more fight and scoring goals - they're a likeable team w/ a likeable manager. So if like me you already have Hendo / Egan / etc I think they're an ok hold, could see maybe 2 cleans in the last 6.
MIC 4 - 0 LIV (2.43 - 1.04)
Well you probably saw it. Bit of a crazy game and could easily have been more like a 3-2 but City played some beautiful football and were clinical. Sterling, KDB, Foden looked absolutely terrific and Mahrez looked dangerous when he came on. Jesus...

...was poor and got the early hook but I think the latter is because he'll start the next game too and he'll play better than this. The City #9 spot is always going to bring returns with it and I still think he's a good option for the run-in despite poor form. Foden offers...
...incredible value at 5.3m and is a world class player in the making. My guess is 8.5m next season and I'll still be a buyer. Only question is game time - I think he starts 3/6 and comes on in 2-3 others. Magical player, get him in if you can do so easily.
Good luck! Pls RT!
