Aaron Burr was admitted to #PrincetonU as a sophomore at age 13, and graduated at 16 in 1772. Throughout his time on campus, he joined what was then known as the American Whig Society and the Cliosophic Society. #Hamilfilm

The Battle of Princeton, while not mentioned in the musical, became a victory for the Colonials, led by George Washington and Hamilton. British troops were hiding in Nassau Hall and it’s said that Hamilton himself fired a cannon ball that blasted through the building. #Hamilfilm

Aaron Burr’s son John Pierre was an abolitionist, a member of the Underground Railroad out of Philadelphia, and organized the Pennsylvania Anti-Slavery Society. #Hamilfilm

“The Room Where It Happens” discusses D.C. becoming the nation’s permanent capital. Nassau Hall served as the nation’s provisional capital from June 30, 1783 until November 4, 1783. It’s also where George Washington received the news of a peace treaty signed by Great Britain.
