Every bird I painted comes to our patio regularly, except for the bluebird- he's only around on rare occasion. This summer we've been blessed with frequent sightings of a painting bunting! I will re-share that bird painting in next tweet (he's not in this painting). https://twitter.com/buske_natalie/status/1279039023172943873
First saw a painted bunting last year. Thought maybe someone's pet bird had gotten lose. Vibrant wild migratory bird, just amazing. Family bought me a special feeder that attracts them- it works! New little guy isn't tall/lean like this one, he's squat/small w/same bright colors
The hummingbirds are active right now. We see this type regularly, but also a gray bodied one. They fight. They will beg for food if they've run out, by hovering in front of the patio glass. They are trainable, but they've trained us.
Hopefully these side conversations about birds, a tangent from my initial painting thread, will uplift you & guide you(me) to focus on the beautiful things.

These are difficult days, yet the birds are unworried. And God loves us ever so much more than the sparrows.
