I don’t wanna put the cart before the horse ... but I need a lot of help with research for my dissertation. I usually don’t like talking about it cuz ~academia~ but

does anybody know of any resources specifically looking at 1) freedom schools 2) political/social education [1/x]

(cont’d) for Black kids 3) Civil Rights Era education movements/policies for Black children
4) Black radical education philosphy?

I feel like the research I’ve come across has not directly helped me investigate the phenomena I really wanna talk about and Twitter houses [2/x]

(cont’d) a lot of organizers + activists and abolitionists who have done a lot more of the readings than I have. I want to be genuine and well-versed in my dissertation process and I don’t wanna produced a white-washed account of anything. I know the readings are out there [3/x]

(cont’d) + I know the theories are out there and I know the political and historical figures are out there ... but I am about a year into my program and vastly overwhelmed. So if there’s ANYBODY who knows of any resources or can just help me pinpoint some ~research buckets~ [4/x]

(cont’d) I’d be incredibly thankful. I feel like every time I do some research I come out realizing there’s much more that I DON’T know + the rabbit hole becomes exhausting + then I come on here and see ppl talking about orgs and initiatives even in present day that I know [5/x]
