My respect for Rema grew when he said "Boulevard" in his song. No pop star in this country has that vocabulary range. That& #39;s shit you hear in MI songs. Intelligent stuff.
Boulevard
Glock
Avalanche
Trap out the Submarine

These are some of the words on the Rema Freestyle EP. Now this is a freestyle project. If you think a Nigerian pop star has a better vocabulary, please come forward with them.
I& #39;ll say this only once and dip.

These words are basic words. I& #39;m giving him props because Afrobeat as a genre is shallow and pop stars don& #39;t be writing at all. That& #39;s why it is commendable that he was able to put these words together in a pop song... Which might as well be trap
I see people quoting the tweet with rap artists. Y& #39;all dumb as hell lmao. Why is comprehension so hard? I listen to SDC, MI, LadiPoe, A-Q, etc. I digest encyclopaedia-level vocabulary from these guys project. That& #39;s why I only addressed pop stars in the tweet. Dimwits.
You don& #39;t just pick up a Mayorkun song for instance and hear impressive words and expressions. A typical Afrobeat song isn& #39;t enriched with an impressive vocabulary and that& #39;s not taking anything away from the songs. They& #39;re all very good songs.
