RUDIGER - FOR AN EXPERIENCED CB HE SHOWS A LOT OF INEXPERIENCE

Since his return from injury, there have been very few games where he's been flawless. Constant clumsiness is mixed with rookie errors which leads to mediocre performances.

Against WHU it was not acceptable...

Exhibit 1:

This is the corner that led to the first West Ham goal. Rudiger is in absolute no pressure here. He even had Kante shielding him. Granted he is perhaps off balance but how clumsy is this play?

Exhibit 2:

Apparently, he is also picked due to his ball-playing ability. Once again no pressure applied to himself and he picks out a low percentage pass for Pulisic. Immediately puts the midfield and defence under pressure as West Ham looks to counter.

Exhibit 3:

- No awareness of where Antonio is
- Caught out of position
- Clumsy pull on Antonio

If this didn't lead to West Ham's second goal then surely it would've been a pen given by VAR.

Exhibit 4:

Christensen was abysmal the whole match being bullied by Antonio but Rudi still had the chance to rectify this situation. As Chelsea's most experienced CB, he allows Yarmalenko who is a left-footer, to cut in on his left & have an open goal to himself.

ROOKIE!!

Exhibit 5:

Once again Antonio glides past Alonso and Rudi like he is prime Ronaldo (Brazillian one). He then follows it up with a classic mistimed tackle.

In summary, he played his part in all 3 WHU goals. This is not the experience Chelsea needs!!
