1. It’s not annexation, it’s gesticulation. What is being proposed has been trumped up to carry political significance well beyond proportion. This is about extending Israeli civilian law on areas that everyone agrees will remain part of Israel. 1/6

2. The extension of Israeli civilian law to include Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria doesn’t impact the daily lives of Palestinians in anyway. If anything it frees up the Civillian Administration to do more to answer their needs. 2/6

3. Do Palestinians in Ramallah care whether the Israeli who grants permission to Jews in Efrat the right to extend their kitchen is wearing a white shirt or a olive one? 3/6

4. To be clear... Israel is not taking any greater control over any land. No flags are going up where they aren’t already. 4/6

If anything, were the Palestinians clever they would take this as a sign of potential compromise on Israel’s part which it seems will not be extending sovereignty even over all of Area C. 5/6

6. If people around the world actually cared about the well being of the people of this region they would realise this is a logical step that in no way prejudices a future agreement, but if anything shows that progress does not need to wait for everybody.
