🔸Another goal for Harry Kane and the change in him since the restart is quite notable when comparing key stats. Using xG as a metric example – in GWs 1-29 Kane was notorious for having low xG and had a total of 7.19 (ranked 24th of all players) – which is an average of…
…0.36 per 90 mins played. In the three games since the restart he is top of all players for xG with 2.52 – an average of 0.84 per 90 mins. Other stats show similar patterns – but crucially xG shows he’s getting in better positions and having better quality chances.
🔸GW32+ saw the lowest number of clean sheets since the restart – 5, compared to 9 in GW31+ and 10 in GW30+. An indication potentially that players are becoming more match fit with regards attacking sharpness. Big at the back may not be the way to go from now.
🔸Joint second in the FPL form rankings since the restart, with an average of 9 points per GW, is everyone’s favourite new differential Allan Saint-Maximin, with 1 goal and 3 assists in this period. Looking at the stats he’s perhaps been lucky to get such high returns…
…for 3 assists he’s only created 5 chances – and only had 6 shots in total (ranking 24th of all players), 2 on target and 1 in the box, since the restart. He has though created the second most big chances (3), but it’s fair to still expect inconsistency on a weekly basis.
🔸Burnley conceded the joint most shots of all teams in GW32+ (17, alongside West Ham) but did not concede. Southampton did not concede one shot on target against Watford, but is perhaps more a reflection of Watford’s lack of attacking potency…
🔸Kevin De Bruyne’s domination of attacking stats this year has been a common theme and GW32+ was no different. Despite playing one of the best defences in the league, he was top of all players for chances created (5), and joint top for big chances received (2)…
…since the restart he’s also created the most big chances of all players (4) and surprisingly had the 2nd most total shots (12 – after Auba on 14) . Finally having a season without major injury KdB is fulfilling his FPL potential, but expect a price of circa 12.0m next year!
🔸Most penalty box touches since the restart:
Pulisic – 22
Martial – 18
Sterling – 18
Rashford – 18
Auba – 17
Mane – 17
Firminio – 17

Clear distance at the top for Pulisic. Passing the eye test as well, he looks a very good value option at 7.0m, if, he continues to start.
🔸The player with the highest xG in GW32+ was Michail Antonio (1.26). He also had the joint most shots on target of all players (4 – alongside Auba and, Dendoncker!) and 2 big chances. A goal, assist and 2 bonus against Chelsea, possibly an ultimate differential at 0.8% owned.
🔸Of the teams who have only played 3 games, Newcastle have surprisingly scored the most goals since the restart (8). They also rank 7th for the best minutes per chance (7.7) and are joint 3rd for number of shots on target (18) of all teams. Resurgence.
🔸Chelsea’s defence may look less desirable after conceding 3 goals, but Marcus Alonso posted some impressive attacking stats in the West Ham game. Of all players this GW, he was top for crosses (11) and created the second most chances (4)…
…and also had 3 shots, all inside the box (the 4th most of all players). He's also joint 2nd of all defenders for shots since the restart (6). With a favourable run of fixtures ahead, and only 3.7% owned, he could be a useful differential to climb ranks over coming weeks.
🔸Most fouls won since the restart:
Grealish – 21
Ceballos – 8
Lo Celso – 8
Mane – 8
Antonio – 7
Davis – 7
Maddison – 7

No surprise Grealish is top, but the margin is quite something!

Have a good GW33+ 👍
