The term blacklist has its own issues (and obviously the other two do as well) but this commitment to removing them from the programming languages of the same site where racists are allowed to still have platforms definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth
I feel like this is just gonna be another situation like the (city painted) BLM murals where websites just go 'oh hey problem solved' and ignore tackling the real issue. Not to say programmers aren't affected by using these terms on a regular basis but still
And yes I did make this thread before but it was before I actually read up on the actual history of a 'black list' and figured it shouldn't be approached with the dismissal I gave it for being included. Though there's plenty more that Twitter can and should do in inclusion's name
