Thread. Full disclosure: I personally don& #39;t believe there& #39;s biblical support for women& #39;s ordination (tho I& #39;ll happily be proven wrong.) HOWEVER, "complementarianism" as a system is technically a late 20th century construct that has often begotten a culture of toxicity 1/5
(see Aimee Byrd). Adherents are forced to develop a convoluted framework of "manhood/womanhood" to justify their beliefs, but are honestly better off just dropping the entire system if they believe that& #39;s just what the Bible says (as I do). 2/5
As for my dear sisters in Christ that have felt called to the pastoral ministry: I will respect your office/ordination just as I respect someone who was baptized as an infant (speaking from the Baptist minority position): tho their baptism was irregular, it is not invalid. 3/5
And paedobaptist churches are still churches in my view. Similarly, you are obviously functioning in the role of a pastor. Tho we may disagree on the specifics of the biblical basis of the pastoral office, I pray that God will use you to bless your church and grow it. 4/5
To my "complementarian" brothers: See, that isn& #39;t so hard, is it? END. 5/5
Bracing myself for the comments...
