international followers,
a law in the Philippines has just been signed that gives the government power to define what constitutes terrorism. the Anti-Terror Bill is unconstitutional and can easily be used to attack those who oppose and criticize the government. (cont.)
the law has a very broad definition of what terrorism is, it can be easily abused. the Philippines has a very long record of corruption, injustice, and police brutality and it will be no surprise if authorities abuse this law and use it to attack critics
over the past month, before the law was signed, people have already been arrested for peacefully protesting, there was a surge of fake accounts that aim to tag activists as terrorists, and media reporters have been arrested. that's only a small amount of what was happening.
we don't know what's going to happen now and im not sure what to do. please help us spread the news. i'm sorry im having trouble wording these tweets i just really need to get this out. i encourage you to please research about the Anti-Terrorism Bill
i think im gonna have to go on private because im really scared and this is getting attention. i'll stay public for a while for people to see this thread.

also, im a minor. a student, an artist, i just wanna make cartoons when i grow up. i'm not a terrorist.
if you're non-Filipino, it would really help if you make your own threads about the law. a lot of Filipinos are in danger if we speak up about this. please be our voice.
