Spent a little time in the US, and was totally brain washed from TV.

When I got there, spent some time there, I found this amazing spirit. This strength, this story, this reality of people. It humbled me, defined me further.

It all spoke against your president.
I can't do more, than speak from the sidelines. I fear coming over there again, with my social media history.

Know, I stand with your growth, your depth, your being. Your country isn't the strength and purpose your media pushes. It stands with what I saw. The people. The future.
Any foreigner, that has had the time to meet you all, knows this.

It gets busy. We see your broken roads, the homeless, the division of wealth, and it confuses us. We're not the best, but we see worse there.

It's god damn consfusing!

But, being there, I see this.
You are not what your media portrays. TV be damned, movies are for $$ consumption.

You. Neighbourhoods. People.

You stand like none I've seen. You question. So many of you strive to find more. I can't lose faith in you, because you won't.

I believe in you.
The very first time I was in the US, was in San Antonio. Midnight, wide awake, Thanks Timezones.

Walked at midnight. SO many non US twitter folk demanded I hide in my hotel.

I did hear someone in trouble, but that's because nobody should attempt singing Queen at karaoke.
During my walk, I found two blokes cleaning the streets .. like, is normal everywhere else.

One bloke said for me to be careful, hoses and all .. and we got to chat.

Most places I've been around the world, people wouldn't talk back. They did. Kept working, but kept talking.
This sunk in.

And not because they were passing time, they wanted to know my day, as a visitor that I thought, they were actually interested and invested.

Two folk. Midnight workers. Being more human than near most.

This in time became a fucking thing.
In all the world I've travelled, in all the spaces I've been .. these couple of folk in midnight US were more responsive and human than most others.

And they still did their job.

I'm waffling .. I get that, so going to get a drink, and finish this.
Okay. Damn this is hard to define.

The majority of Americans I've met .. from business contacts to the person on the street . are on the front part of the foot. They are eager, listening, learning .. they are not static.

It defies the news I see. It defies twitter.
All y'all got this.

But all y'all need to make it about what you are.

And I will forever stand with those who spoke evenly and openly, defined the best in you all .. not for any reason, except that is was what it is.

And this is the real truth.

Vote. Be True. We trust in you.
