Unis are focusing a lot on content and delivery models regarding move to online. I’m thinking about that too, but also exploring how to establish meaningful relationships with large numbers of students... which can be even harder in digital spaces. A few ideas:
I like to set up small tutorial groups (bubbles?!) in WhatsApp - that’s often a great place to gather students together and it’s nice and informal (do consider issues around safeguarding etc).
Padlet is great for getting to know you activities. We share favourite music tracks there and then I create a playlist which we listen to together...
Run regular online Writing Bootcamps when assignments are due in...write together for a few hours and share pics of snacks and study companions :)
One to ones rather than small group sessions (however done) are really important and worth any investment of time.
Key thing for me is to meet students where they are (digitally if not physically).
Oh another one - recording audio feedback is always valued, and I think hearing a friendly voice talking through your work will be even more appreciated remotely.
