According to his LinkedIn and Facebook page, Hurren's is a Canadian Ranger (a sub-component of the Canadian Armed Forces reserve that provides a military presence in sparsely settled northern, coastal, and isolated areas) and a veteran of the Royal Canadian Artillery.

Another example of a well-established trend. Ondrej Hajn & I, have identified hundreds of cases of #military personnel in #NATO states being disciplined for their participation in/ideological alignment with far-right groups, including more than a dozen Canadian cases since 2018.
